Just bought a 2007 F-150 Lariat with 20" factory wheels, and I'm very unhappy with the ride.
Compared to most GM's (I had a Tahoe and Avalanche before), the ride is rough and not very compliant. I prefer that "softer" feel on the road.
Short of changing the 20" wheels to 18's, anyone know of a way to improve the ride on this particular truck? Perhaps the shocks?

Trade it for a Chevy.

It's gonna be pretty hard to do that, because there are alot of elements that go into the ride of a vehicle. Also, if you soften the suspension you may find that it handles dangerously at high speed. Consider trading it for a new Toyota Tundra. I hear they have a very soft ride.

yeah well 20's have small side walls which means a stiffer ride not much else you can do besides maybe air bags ... cheaper to change wheels and tires to a tire with more side wall and flex

The problem is the wheels and tires. That's the price one pays for style.

Really not much, it's the nature of the beast. You can add some weight to the back, but then fuel mileage will suffer as a result.
