The engine on this car is carburated and I was told by auto shop that I need to replace the distributor but I was hoping to see if it would be possible to just replace the cap and gasket or how do I know if I need to change the whole distributor?

I have a 2004 Honda accord that I am leasing and I can buy out the lease for $11,500. If I return the lease I will not have to pay anything. It is in perfect condition and 29k miles. Would it be wrong to sell it to a friend and make $1500 to $2000 profit? At the sametime the Kelly Blue Book value on the car is $15,500 and I would be selling it to them for $2000 to $2500 less then the value of the car. What would you do?

Let's say I lease a car for 36 months, then after the 8th month, I decide I want another one and take it back to the dealer.

What are the penalties? Any fines, etc?

the problem i have is that i cant get it started, it does turn over thoug. i get fuel to the fuel rails (at least to the fuel pressure regulator) but i dont think im gettin fuel to the injectors. i just bought i new fuel pressure regulator and thats not the problem, the rails are open so thats not the problem either, i have the fuel lines matched in and out, basically everything is new from spark plugs to injectors, the only thing i can think of is the vacuum that works with the regulator, any suggestions or diagrams that can help me with this problem

i tried wd40 in the intake and it wants to start but then dies, so i know its fuel, i have a hissing coming from the FPR, i disconnected the fuel lines and ran the pump and fuel came out so i know fuel is going to the fuel rails but not to the injectors, i know the fuel rail isnt clogged bc i just took it off and check its, there arent any leaks, and i just checked and im gettin power to the injectors..im pretty confused

Make + Model + Year (if possible)

For me:

1989-90: Austin Metro (new in 1984) (died in a RTA)
http://www.stormkrewsaders.com/stray_vw/stray_metro_1989.jpg

1990-91: Ford Capri 3.0L (old can't remember year - same colour as the rusty car from the Sweeney or Life on Mars)

1991-92: Ford Capri 2.8L (old but newer and faster and smart blue)

1992-93: Some old Citroen thing with that rising suspension (which I played with and broke on highest setting, hydraulic fluid everywhere, and wasn't cost effective to repair)

1993-94: An old-style Renault (can't remember model but rare and quite reliable - but very uncool looking)

1995-97: A Fiat Tipo (bought near new - but not cool looking but ok drive)

1998-2002: A VW Polo (new in 1995).. a girly type car but reliable and got me from A to B.

2002 - present: A VW Golf (bought new) and nice to drive and been pretty ok for reliability.

I would like to know how to get rid of my car which is worth 17,000. I paid off 4,000 already and have 13,000 more to go. I am looking to get a cheaper car but the dealerships are saying that I need to put a 5,000 down since my car isn't worth 17,000 anymore in order to get the car I want, no matter what the price of it is. I would like to know if there is a way I can privately sell my car in order to pay it off and get the cheaper car instead. Thank for anyone who advises.

I just got a new job that I start in 3 weeks. I will be driving 500 miles a week just going to-and-from the job. I am looking to save on gas prices...I also go mountain biking a lot and am looking for a little utility option too. I've looked at a new Nissan Versa, a used Toyota Prius, a used Toyota Matrix, and a new Honda Fit. I know what all the features are of these vehicles...but based on what any of you have experienced or know, some help would be most appreciated!!!

I have a 1998 Dodge grand Caravan. I have noticed that is is stalling while I am driving. It starts back up. I have taken it to three shops. One said ? blown head gasket. The other never looked and the third ran a test stating that I have a mini. 25 ppm. hydrocarbons in the cooling system. Which indicates a combustion chamber to cooling system. They never checked to see if it was a blown head gasket but recommends rebuilding the engine. Stating that it would run anywhere from 5000.00 and up. I am at a loss. My car stalling is the only problem that I am having. I know for sure that I need a new water pump. I have done research but the symptoms of a blown head gasket is not what I am having. I need some anwers. Please help

If I usually put in regular unleaded in my car, is it BAD if I put premium into sometimes? *Don't ask why.....long story* But my friend said it is horrible for your car. Everyone else I have talked to said it was fine, that if anything, it is better.

I have had someone offer to sell me their grand prix with 28K miles for $10,000 and it is like new. Any thoughts on Grand Prix's good bad or indifferent? Or where I can find consumer reports for free on them?
