A couple of weeks ago - it wasn't bad, cheap way of getting around now with gas prices so high. Especially if there is a stop near ya home and one close to where you need to go.

I usually take public transportation, the bus, when I take my car in for service.
Last month, I dropped my car off at the service center and was on my way to the library to study. The library is four miles away. I went to the bus stop, not a bus in sight- so I started walking. I ended up walking the full four miles--the bus never came. I did the walk in about an hour, this bus is scheduled to run about once an hour during nonpeak hours, and every half hour during peak times.
The same thing on the return trip, I walked the 4 miles -- no bus in sight.
My major complaint about our bus service - crappy schedules. Why should I pay the $2 for a ride when I can walk?

Last time I rode the bus was just 10 minutes ago before I came online. Here in the San Francisco Bay Area in California, most places are convenient to get to on public transportation. There are trains, subways, ferries, and buses here.
Wondering what its like? Well, its like... nothing. Its almost like driving, except you got a driver, you sit or stand with strangers, and it occasionally stops to pick up more people. Its also on a fixed route and it has a schedule that it follows. You only pay each time you get on and thats pretty much it.

I have not ridden a bus in years, other than a parking lot shuttle. I would rather have my own space, rather then having no control over who is sitting next to me!
