It will not go over 3000 rpms at w/o trotle when parked, the engine shakes badly. Mechanic thinks is a misfire. I have replaced coil, spark plugs, wires.

It is NOT supposed to go over 3,000 rpm when in PARK. The PCM shuts off fuel and/or retards ignition timing whenever any attempt is made to rev the engine. This is done for the sole purpose of protecting the engine. It should NEVER be revved without being placed under load anyway. Sorry to inform you, but you wasted money on parts that didn't need to be replaced. The weakest link on that particular engine is the cassettes. If your cassette(s) fail, your engine is DONE!!!

It is designed to do this, Ford has put this into the PCM program, most new Fords are designed not to rev up at idle while in park. Nothing wrong with your suv.
