Every bike has a different valve adjusting method.
Also they each have different valve clearance specs.
Everyone that intends to work on their own bike should own a shop manual.

I would go to Borders book store, the one where I live has alot of books on hobbies and car collecting and of course motoercycle repair.

The second choice is to search Amazon.com and hope that the book you get has what you need.
