My 2006 Chevy Malibu just got new brakes yesterday. When I press the brakes at maybe 20 or more mph, they make a grinding noise. Is that a common sound for new brakes? The person I had install the brakes said that it goes away within a couple of days. Also, if I go beyond 20 or more mph, it doesn't stop immediately. The car slows down, with the grinding noise, but with a lot of pressure from me.

PLEASE SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY!!!!

By avoiding purchasing Exxon-Mobil gasoline, the companies might be forced to reduce the gas prices to eliminate inventory. However, BP and Chevron are also huge companies so would not be good alternatives. Is there a small independent supplier that would be a good choice? One that does not obtain their gasoline from any of the big three?

I just had the "check engine" light checked, and it's coming up with a Radiator Fan High/Low Relay issue. Would this affect the power windows/door locks? All of a sudden they just stopped working.

Also is this relay worth fixing? Does anyone know about how much it could cost?

Thanks!

Ive got a Jeep that needs some work and it would be back to normal, it has alot of miles on it but still drives good. Ive got got an old Chevy 52 or 56. The body is in great condition, meaning no dents, but of course it needs a sanding and a paint job. And then there is a 70 Vega, again good condition. Id like to sell them but none of them are working, so what should I do, how do I go about getting rid of these cars?

I was stopped at a red light the other day and a guy in the car next to me started to ask me where I was playing, how long we were going to be in town, etc. I wasn't really following what he was saying and then he told me that he said I looked just like the guy in the Village People and he thought I was a member of the band. Given, I was wearing my chaps and my HD fringed leather jacket, but to me that look conveys more of a bad boy image than that of, uh, the whole gay-vibe thing that the Village People are about. Do you think people easily confuse the leather-clad bad boy Harley image with the leather clad gay community image? This isn't the first time someone has mistakenly believed based on my Harley-clad appearance that my sexual preference does not include women.

When im on my bike I usually find that Harley Davidson motorbikes always get more respect on the road, people who ride there multi coloured bikes with power ranger leathers never get let out of roads.... Why is this... What are your thoughts on this theory??

The reviews of the Boxster and Cayman have been glowing lately, with the subtle suggestion that these mid-engined cars are better balanced, better handling, better all-around sportscars than the 911. The Carrera GT supercar is also mid-engined. Is it only a matter of time until the engine in the 911 finds itself on the other side of the rear axle?

I want to live on a narrowboat within London; what's the best mooring to rent/are there any moorings to buy?

Something within easy commutable distance to central'd be lovely, as would a lot of greenery. Thing is, I don't want to be on a stuffy mooring, as I'd like to host a couple of parties. That said, I don't want security to suffer.

What's the best thing for me to do?

that they (the oncoming traffic) is giving you the go ahead and proceed because they (the oncoming traffic) have every intention of turning? And if not what is the purpose of the turn signal? I believe it is an indication for following traffic to slow down or prepare for a change in direction and the same holds true for merging or oncoming traffic.

In Dec, we purchased a house that had been foreclosed on. We have no clue where the previous owner went.

It appears that he also defaulted on his car payment and someone is trying to repossess it. Every few weeks, we find a notice taped on our front door, demanding that "M*** P*****" turn over his 2002 Lexus. We've called the number on the notice but it goes straight to this person's VM. We've left messages explaining that M*** P***** no longer lives here and that they'd know that if they checked the real estate records. The repo man has also knocked on the door once when my DH was home and he told him the same thing.

We figured that they'd go away if we were decent to them - they are, after all, only trying to do their job. I'm tired of being decent. I just want them to go away!

Thanks!

I've heard from friends that it is legal to drive in flip flops but not in bare feet.
Seems barmy as i know a friend whose flip flops slipped and her foot jammed between the accelerator and brake- unfortunately she hit a motorcyclist who got hospitalised (and fortunately survived)

Because if he sells it at invoice, he's not making $ is he? How much is invoice usually on a new car compared to suggested retail? It was 14k and he said he could sell at 13k.
