which option is better for saving fuel?running your AC till the car interior cools ,switch it off (with the blower running) till you are uncomfortable, and then switch it on again or run the AC continuosly?

is there n e way at all to remove scuffs from chrome rims?? i have some 20" rims that cost me a fortune and now after lending out my car (stupid mistake) i have scratches on three of them pretty noticeable! also if i leave the scratches and dont do n e thing will it make them worse? Is there n e thing at all i can do PLEASE HELP!!! :(

I live in VA. I own a Honda Civic Hybrid '04, 50k. It's a great car, has no problems. We're just upgrading. I've placed an ad in our local paper. But do I expect someone to come and write me a check for the full amount, and then I pay off the loan in my name, and then what paperwork do we do??? I'm kind of lost. It's the first car I've sold privately instead of trading in.

I have major problems with my 1996 pontiac grand-am. My horn has recently started going off, for no reason, and doesn't stop until I unhook the battery. I also have trouble with the alarm...I never use it, yet whenever the battery gets unhooked, and then reattached, the alarm goes off. I don't have the key chain remotes for it. How can I disable them, of fix it. Please help me..

the sign is posted on the highway....slower traffice keep to the right...so why don't u just stay to the right?...or at least get out of the way when you see someone coming up behind you...it's those pple that cause traffic jams..god forbid u let someone in front of u...get a life...

My mechanic says this so and I doubt it would give such effect on hp. Because I see pressureplate as normally engaged and pressure plate forks serves only as tools for releasing clutch engagement on the engine.

Please inform me more about pressure plates. Thanks

my window was left down and to get to the point yeah my electrical system is wacked. now when I press the unlock button my trunk pops open and the gas cover releases both window on the drivers side (front and back) will not come down. I guess my question is will this be an easy fix or am I looking at handing out alot of cash to fix the problem or can I fix it myself? all answers will be more than appreciated.

I was wondering if there was anyway to use a car battery to provide electricity to my window ac unit, and if so, for how long?
Reason being, AC accounts for a lot of an electricity bill during the summer, and i can charge my car battery at autozone for free.
I have heard of people putting small window ac units on the cars and connecting them to car batteries, and would like to know how.
any info as to certain websites would be appreciated.

My car's starter motor just needed to be replaced. I was given a WHOLE lot of lines by the person who worked at the dealership about it.

The age of the car, the mileage of the car, that it's a crap shoot when the starter motor stops, it could stop today, years from now, etc.

I don't know cars- could someone tell me a bit about staters and starter motors so that i can know what is right and what is bullsh** from a guy who thinks he can pull the wool over a lady's eyes.

(No, not man-bashing. But being a single woman out in the auto-world is not easy, and many guys feel you have "SUCKER" written on your forehead!)
