Do the research. All diesels will run on used motor oil. Large mines do it all the time. Now, here is how in a very simplistic explaination.
It MUST be filtered to below 10 micron levels, and it is added not to be used straight, to existing diesel fuel.

Motoroil? That's too thick for auto diesel engines.

Yep, motor oil is too thick to put in a diesel for fuel, plus dirty oil? The reason oil turns black is from the carbon, so you will have a gritty fuel clogging your injectors, if you tried this. I have heard of running a diesel on cooking oil, that is a better choice than trying used dirty motor oil.

Used motor oil is filtered and added to diesel fuel - it is not used strait. 5% MAXIMUM is what I use.

I also put used oil in my home heating oil fuel tank - better than throwing it away.
