Spot putty = ?

And where could I get some please ?

I've got a run of scratches in my car's paintwork, some quite deep, and I want to repair them. They aren't just scratches in paint... won't polish out, and highly visible in my car's black paintwork.

I've been following this tutorial below. It has a flash video "how-to" and it seems good enough for a reasonable result. (although I've got extra products too like etch primer and panel wipe and tak rags)

http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/diy_kits/article/0,2019,DIY_13787_3083739,00.html

It's just I don't know where to get spot putty from - or if it's called something else in the UK, or if we even have an equivilent product?

Thanks if you can help. :)

I have a friend who wants the chrome "ring" that lines the outside of the grill on the G6 to put on her 2006 Grand Prix -- If it is the same size as the later Grand Prix models, I was wondering if those would fit ?

So basically I purchased a car from a private party, which was under lease with Honda Financial, and the title was lost in the mail after the account was paid off. I am now in a situation where the title cannot be replaced due to policy restrictions set in place by Honda Financial. I also cannot drive the car, since the registration/ insurance has expired. I have put quite a large sum of money down, and now the seller is telling me to wait 30 days to file for a lost title(apparently Honda's policy)...

It has already been 25 days since I paid the initial amount.... The seller apparently does not have any money to reimburse me.. This is like a nightmare I have never dreamt of!

Please I need some helpful advice.. My money is tied up, and I don't have a car!

Hi, I asked a similar question concerning this before but didn't explain myself well enough. I was pulled over whilst driving my partners car (she was in the passenger seat with me) and when I took in my documents they wouldn't accept the insurance. It stated on the insurance paperwork (but, alas, not on the certificate) that it is legal for this vehicle to be driven, stating "by any other person for travel to and from a place of business" which I thought covered me as she is a community nurse and I went with her (and drove) for the day. I pleaded guilty by mail and also sent a letter explaining this situation and that I believed to be insured and now I have received a summons to go to court with these documents (for them to consider a lower punishment I presume). A long winded question I know, but has anybody been in this situation before and could advise me? I have never been to court before and am a little worried about it to be honest. Thankyou for your help.

While an airport may have more than one runways, we usually find that the main one runs E-W. Doesn't it affect the pilot's vision while taking off or landing with the sun shining in front?

What car would you suggest for a family of four? ($35,000-$60,000). We currently have a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder LE and a 2003 BMW 325i... but both will be trade-ins. BMW's are nice, but ours has had a lot of problems... are the 07's more reliable? Thanks.

p.s. parents late 30's, low 40's and a 17&19 year old.

Notice how crude oil goes up in price everyday. It is sold by the barrel and controls the price you and I pay for gasoline at the pump. Why don't quarts of motor oil go up every other day as well? Why doesn't tupperware and ziplock bags go up? They are plastics which are made from oil as well.
Any thoughts?

I am so sad about my story. This has never happened to me before. I left my friends house(birthday party) They let me and didnt take my keys or offer me a ride home.
I drove on the highway towards home when all of a sudden i couldnt remember next only hitting the middle concrete divider i ended up on the other side of the hwy. after which point my car was close enough that i was still able to back it up to the side of the road. I was not injured and nobody else was involved.
I was arrested...and charged. I dont care about my car. I have cried all night and day. Remorseful...and thankful i didnt kill or injure somebody else. I prayed to God..and i think this is his way of showing me that i was doing so very wrong. I needed this wakeup call. I want to apologize to the whole world now and i believe that this mistake is a lesson that i needed.
I dont believe that i survived without injuries etc. I think God saved me. Im not making any excuses- I almost left my two kids without a Mom..

While trying to park my 1992 Honda Civic (I'm still a beginner so it takes some time for me to get it right), I switch from reverse to drive, back and forth, often. Many times, while moving from R to D4, I get the check engine light. Today, the light came on again and I noticed there was smoke coming from the engine. Could it be that the car was overheated (I'm not even sure what that means)? It was a pretty warm (11 degrees celcius) but rainy night, and I had to put the defroster because there was steam and I couldn't see a thing. I also had the radio and windshield wipers on, if that's relevant. By the way, I got out of the car and smelled the smoke, it had a slight odor, hard to describe, but definitely not burnt or gas. Why does the check engine light come up only when I'm parking? And what does the smoke mean? Is it dangerous?

on my 2003 dodge caravan. It just came on yesterday. Does anyone know what this means? My brakes are working fine and I had them fixed on last year sometime at Sears. Should I go back to Sears or should I go to where I purchased my van from? I've had the van for almost 3yrs. and it has about 120,000 something miles on it. Anyone know what this could be?

I recently took my CL to the dealership for a brake job and of course they call me up with a list of other stuff that needs to be done. One of the things they wanted to do is to de-carbon the engine. I use fuel treatments on a fairly regular basis but they told me that it wasn't the same. They want to charge me $124.00 to do this. Is it really necessary or are they trying to blow smoke up my butt?

Howdy. I have a mid 70's Pontiac 400 I was thinking of rebuilding. It came with the 4x heads, and not a very good compression ratio. I also have a 350 from a 74 GTO. From the little bit of research I've done, I think I can boost the compresion up into nines with the GTO heads. Would there be any valvetrain clearance issues? The motor will be going in a 69 Grand Prix. Wish I had the original 400. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.
