****edit*****
Correct me if I am wrong.
I thought you just wanted a manual to know how to work every thing in your car.
I did not think that you wanted to go out & spend a bunch of money to buy a manual that tells you how to repair a vehicle.
I can't understand why somebody would give me a 'thumbs down' for giving you EXACTLY what you asked for !?!?
What's up with that?

Get a Chilton's book from Advance Auto Parts/ Autozone for 2004 Ford Taurus. Should be only about 20 dollars, and has so much more information then a owners manual.

Owners manual and repair manual are two different things. I think Dodgeman was talking about a repair manual which has a lot more "repair" info. An owners manual will have things to check and to look out for. This you can get from the dealer or from Ford for not much.

Don't bother getting the manual. Go to an Autoparts store near you and buy a repair guide from Chilton's or Haynes, et al, for your specific car. They have them. About $16.

Maybe write the Ford Motor Company and see if they have any spares. You may be able to look this up on the internet. You could also try e-bay and maybe Amazon.

your right having the manual will help a lot ,i own a repair shop and i usually get these for my customers from a dealer, this one is still available and only cost around 30 bucks ,but its worth every penny of it, just call your nearest dealer and they can get you one for it,good luck hope this helps.,,PS you might also find a good one from a wrecked car from a good junk yard also.
