all turbo cars have that problem some more than others
it is just the time it takes the turbo to spin up to catch up with the engine

Turbo lag is a sign that the turbocharger is not working
properly and also a **** buzzing sound of the engine.
Older turbo cars tend to have this problem

Sure it is. It's like turning on the lights and having them just barely turn on and you have to wait until they get bright.

Kind of the same thing with a turbo, when you step on it, it takes a short period of time for the turbo to spool up or increase the speed of the turbine to get the pressure up to where it needs to be. Some cars and the new Ford diesel trucks have dual turbos, one is smaller and will spool up faster and provide the boost until the larger one with more volume spools up and provides boost once the motor gets into the higher RPMs. Good luck

no its normal. Buy a bypass valve and it will help.
