on my 2003 dodge caravan. It just came on yesterday. Does anyone know what this means? My brakes are working fine and I had them fixed on last year sometime at Sears. Should I go back to Sears or should I go to where I purchased my van from? I've had the van for almost 3yrs. and it has about 120,000 something miles on it. Anyone know what this could be?

More than likely a wheel speed sensor has gone out on it.
120,000 miles? Probably needs a little TLC.

Just my opinion, but, Sears is good for batteries. Not much else. Take it somewhere else.

More than likely an ABS sensor gone bad. Sears is a bad idea. They do normal maintenaince for cars that need brakes, tires... etc.. etc.... Take it to a certified mechanic or, back to the dealership you bought the van from. Just ask them to tell you how much the part is. Then, you can compair it to the local mechanics... Hopefully this will save you some $$$. Usually the dealerships will have a set amount of time in a book and charge you by the set rate, not how long it takes to fix it. Your local mechanic may be cheaper, he may be more... Can never tell, just check around... Good luck!

First check your brake fluid level. This may be why the RED brake light is on. If you fill it up and all of the lights are then off, go get your brakes inspected, possible fluid leak. Other wise you need to take to certified Tech. for diagnosis. They can read codes and find the problem. Note: If all of the lights are on and you have NOT yet moved the car, it may not be a wheel sensor but some thing else. Cheap does not mean GOOD.

Possibly your brake light sending switch could be problem. Brake lights would still work but ABS circuit in switch could be gone. Take van to auto repair shop to have code read to be sure of your problem. There are several causes to your problem......you want to fix the right problem so get code read to be sure.
