2001 Oldsmobile Aurora 3.5 L suddenly makes a whinning noise when shifting into 3rd gear, but when easing off gas it goes away and then on return on pressing gas it comes back. Wondering could it be serious transmission work or just in need of a flush and filter? Any thoughts?

I am guessing with the end of the caboose in the 80s and maybe by the end of the 70s, you saw no more kerosine or electrically converted markers on the rear of trains.

I'm not talking about car dollies that people tow their vehicles on. I work in a roadside assistance call center and I wondered what tow dolly wheels look like; the ones that are used when the veh won't go into neutral and the appropriate end isn't accessible, etc. Any tow truck drivers care to shed light on this with actual photos? It's hard to find online because all I see is car dollies. Thanks

i have a fuel injected automatic EG8 civic 92 model.....i changed the distributor /spark plugs & plug wire today but the car DON'T wanna start ...i don't know if i placed the plug wires in the WRONG hole in the distributor & engine...if i did the car is NOT starting... can anyone tell me how to place the PLUG WIRES from the engine to the distributor....? How do u check it ...ok u standing infront the engine .....the spark plug hole to the LEFT is the first.(1)..? can anyone tell me ....???

Hello all, I have a 2003 Ford Police Interceptor (crown victoria) the problem I have is that the car jerks when shifting gears. The car doesnt jerk at all when I put it in drive or reverse. It only happens when the car is in drive and it shift gears. I don't think its slipping becuase the car jerks a little front then back and you can feel it stronger when you are going slow. If you gas it up a little bit when its shifting you dont feel it as much. I took it to a few mechanics and one said its a solenoid and he change one but the car didnt change it does the same jerking motion. Thanks for your input.

Sometimes the door ajar light stays on and the dome light stays on for a long time before it finally goes out. I don't see a switch anywhere and didn't want to pull a door panel off unless I have to. Maybe it has another problem? Thanks!

I currently live in Illinois and carry an Illinois CDL with HAZMAT. My current license expires in February. My main question is, if I go through the background check for HAZMAT in Illinois (which is almost $100), will I, when I move to Indiana, have to get ANOTHER background check for ANOTHER $100 in order to keep it?

I've replace the spark plugs, spark plug wires, air filter, simple stuff like that, but I've noticed my car has lost a lot of zip in the last year. It is bad enough that I have to put my hazards on when I'm getting on the interstate (yes, I'm THAT guy :( ). Any tips or hints so I can stop being a road hazard???

PS, my 0 to 60 is probably about 15 minutes (feels like it anyways).

Which is more easier to learn how to fly, I'm more interested in the helicopter. Also what are the costs for lessons and which aircraft is the easier one to control? I was doing about 120km/h on the high and my oil light was coming on and off about every 5-10 minutes or so....then i floored it and my engine jus shut off the car was still on but my engine shut off , and oil was all over the place leaking, some oil bursted on the vehicle behind me, and some oil was coming out from in between my hood and bumper... I tried to start it and it kicked up and it would turn over.. every try i gave it .. it lost more power.. What do i do ?

I am 6 foot 4 inches, weigh 170 pounds, and would like to purchase a bike, but don't know what I should get. I prefer the look of a crotch-rocket, but I am not sure that there is one out there that is going to be long enough for me, yet not have to much power. I also am on a limited budget.

I just bought this car from my girlfriends grandma about 2 years ago. I thought I was going to build it into a crazy 1/4 mile beast....SVO style 302 with GT40 Heads and some Sticky Mickey Thompsons, you know crazy muscle. But that was two years ago, and now i really dont wan't to rape this car like that, the car was garaged 28 years by grandma (it was granpa's car, and when he passed away *RIP* granma didn't wan to drive it any more so she garaged it) and has been garaged by me for 2 years. It has plate stickers from 1975! Its a 289 Model, 5 lug, A/C Unit And white/beige original pony leather. Its even still sitting on the original white wall tires! The car is kinda of avocado green. It looks dirty but if you rub it you can still see gloss. The Transmission is stuck, and so is the diff. I feel bad selling it, but i need money to fix my real race car which i use for SCCA solo runs / drif events (89 Nissan 240SX). SO...For How Much Should I Sell it For????????
