i have plenty of wear left on the pads, the shoes too, but when i brake. i cant get the wheels to lock up. the pedal feels very tight. dont think its a sticky caliper, what else could be wrong. is this a fault on these cars?

Which items would need to be changed: flex plate, torque converter, engine mounts, transmission mounts, transmission computer, etc?

More exactly the swap that I am thinking about is from an 1998 I30 with a RE4F04V to a 1999 G20 with a RE4F03V. The reason being that the RE4F04V is a higher rated transmission that can be had at a relatively low cost.

I have heard of similar transmission swaps being done but have not heard the details. Thanks for the help.

Hello!
I have an Opel Corsa C from year 2001 with about 45000 km on board. I have the following problem:
Sometimes the charge sign is not turned off after engine start.
After couple of minutes (not more than 5) driving I restarted the engine and this time the light is turned off.
Could anybody give me a hint what could happened? Could this behavior be the result of low temperature? Is it safe to drive with this behavior?
Thanks

Is the person coming onto the freeway, supposed to yield to the traffic already on the freeway, or is the traffic on the freeway supposed to yield if they're not able to move over?

We have a Ford Mondeo made end of 1994 and it is due for a service. The person at the Ford dealer (probably a secretay NOT a mechanic) said that over time water would get in to the brake fluid and so it should be changed. It sounds like they are trying to make more money. Is it possible for this to happen?

Its a 1989 Ford Probe, manual transmission, new battery, starter is about 2 years old. I believe it might have run out of gas, and it has EFI. When I try to start it, it will crank but not fire. I can hear a click click click sound as it cranks. I believe its a fuel pump but would like some input. anyways to test this?

I am 34 and never learned to drive. I have a fear of driving. I really want to learn. I live in a bigger city and it is hard to get around and I dont know many people here. I cant really afford to pay for lessons right now, but when I can I want to take them and get my license. Does anyone else have or have had this problem? How do I deal with the fear?

I don't know what to say??? But the car is just very shakey and mostly dies in the morning with first heat up. I have to depress the acceleration peddle to get the car started and working for at least 2 minutes till it picks up on it own. The bigger problem is that when the car gets more and more warmer the performance improves, but when it gets 'hot" the car starts to lose power and to hear a jiggling sound from the engine bay like as if it is coming from the pistons or something. like something is knocking each other. What could that be? And how to fix my problem.

We bought the car in January and I just now got it's first oil change. I'm afraid to tell my husband. The oil change people said the old oil looked good, it wasn't dirty. Should I be worried? Should I tell my hubby, or just forget about it?
