What is needed to swap an automatic transmission from one car to another automatic car?

Which items would need to be changed: flex plate, torque converter, engine mounts, transmission mounts, transmission computer, etc?

More exactly the swap that I am thinking about is from an 1998 I30 with a RE4F04V to a 1999 G20 with a RE4F03V. The reason being that the RE4F04V is a higher rated transmission that can be had at a relatively low cost.

I have heard of similar transmission swaps being done but have not heard the details. Thanks for the help.

Custom axles or swap spindles?

Check with the local Transmission shop. It will have to bolt up
