The sound stops when I put my foot on the brake, and it is louder when I drive slowly. You can hear it inside the car and outside, which I just noticed yesterday while driving in a parking garage with the window down, it's quite loud.
Also, about 2 weeks ago, I got a flat tire, had the spare put on and got a new tire the next day. No idea if this has anything to do with it, but thought it may be worth mentioning.
My car is a 99 Honda Civic with 145k miles on it, I've had it for almost a year.

The key will go into the ignition lock, and it will turn to "ACC" or "on", but will not twist to the "start" position. Obviously, the key itself is not worn out, or it would not work at all.

What is jambing the thing from turning to "start"??

Hi, I'm going to be going to germany soon to live (and eventually get my dual citizenship) but I am also a pilot... is it possible to be a pilot in germany? Or must I be a citizen, (I mean for a german airline, for example Lufthansa)... do they still speak english on their ATC transmissions? I can also speak german rather fluently....

I am selling a 2002 monte carlo ss "pace car" edition. It is red in color with leather, sunroof and all the added stuff. It has been parked in my garage for 4 years and only has 900 miles on it. I also changed the spark plugs and high tension wires already. it still jerks. My mechanic says it's the clutch/lining/ball bearing needs replacement. I disagree cuz it does not slide when I am running. Car jerks often. Could you pls. advice me what could be wrong with it. The car has manual transmission and has 140k Mileage on it.

This has only happened twice in the last month. I would be at an intersection and when the light turned green I would start going and the gears would not change. i got a scion...and the dealer gave me 6 oil changes for "free"
i had the first one done about a week ago...but the maintenance requered light was still on , til' i took it back a week after and the guy just reset it. dont the light goes out automatically after the oil change, why was it still on. could the light be reset manually without the oil change. i saw them driving the car into the pit, for the oil change.

This is an honest question. Please answer honestly!
I rear-ended a lady. My fault. Her car had a little paint damage, my license plate was bent.
She called the cops, I got a ticket.
Now, almost two months later, she's asking for $500 for her "medical bills", car bills, and general frustration. (Yes, she said frustration as one of the costs.)
I'm not trying to be stubborn or uncooperative, by any means.
My insurance rates would skyrocket, so it's cheaper for me to cough up the $500.
But isn't it just unfair that she asks for more than she needs? Especially since she's middle aged, and I'm 21? I mean, I'm barely scraping by financially. Grr.
What do I do???

I was thinking if anyone has any experience with Wal-Mart's brand of motor oil called "Super Tech". Its cheap & I was thinking of using it for my car for the next oil change.

I usually use Mobil 5W30 but the price difference is huge compared to the 'Super Tech' brand. Any comments?. Thank you.
