I was thinking if anyone has any experience with Wal-Mart's brand of motor oil called "Super Tech". Its cheap & I was thinking of using it for my car for the next oil change.

I usually use Mobil 5W30 but the price difference is huge compared to the 'Super Tech' brand. Any comments?. Thank you.

Super Tech is manufactured by Penzoil under the Walmart Brand name. EXCELLENT OIL!

If you hae a high performance, high stress engine (eg: supercharged / turbocharged) - then I would sugest you may want to stick with trusted brand leaders for your oil.

If your engine is a big "lumbering block" which is not highly stressed and just happily plods along, then so long as you keep an eye on how the oil degrades - and change in time - then you should find the cheap oil is adequate for your needs.

I tend to use cheap oil as a "flush" when changing oil (proper flush can strip oil from areas that do not need to be de-oiled!).

What REALLY matters is the API service rating. SH, SJ, etc. If
THAT meets your car's requirements, it's OK to use.

Their oil is made by a major oil Co. and repackaged, same as PEP BOYS and other off brand oils.

Watch out for the cheap oils that say "for use in pre 1988 autos" or something of that nature.

(I also use Walmart's oil in my Toyota)

Back in the "old" days, around 1963, I used to buy "reclaimed" oil, which was used oil that was filtered and re-sold, and never had any problems with my engines. 'course, we changed oil a lot more often then too, as a result of using leaded gas, which caused oil to get dirty REAL fast.

Perfectly fine! Don't buy into the expensive motor oil scam!

Oil is oil. Brand names make little difference other than price. The main thing to pay attention to is the correct weight for the climate where you live.
