The sound stops when I put my foot on the brake, and it is louder when I drive slowly. You can hear it inside the car and outside, which I just noticed yesterday while driving in a parking garage with the window down, it's quite loud.
Also, about 2 weeks ago, I got a flat tire, had the spare put on and got a new tire the next day. No idea if this has anything to do with it, but thought it may be worth mentioning.
My car is a 99 Honda Civic with 145k miles on it, I've had it for almost a year.
Thanks for any suggestions!

when you get a squeaky sound like that it is generally your brake pads are worn down to the metal and your grinding them on your rotors or if you have after market brake's and you drive fast, little pieces of sand and rocks put little pits in the pads. it only seems to happen on after market pads tho.

LOL watered down gas huh? You cant water gas down water and gas separate and the gas floats on suitable like oil and water. in any case it sounds like brakes to me and now because of the fact you have been making use of it with the brake pad thoroughly wiped out making the steel to steel sound you're in all probability going to ought to change the rotors particularly of having them machined.

It sounds like you need to have your brake pads change. This used to happen to my car also.

sometimes you get a rock in your your wheel-hub and it will do that until the rock gets crushed and then it will stop, if you are having any problem stopping you could need new brake pads
