I've been working for over a year as a temp. The manager won't hire me because he feel since I don't have a college degree and kids. I'm not good enough for the company. So now they want me replace in one week notice. Everyone else in the company didn't understand why the change. It's not only confusing, its discriminating. What should I do?

I really like the career outlook of an Anesthesiologist, and am wondering do they work for a hospital or a private firm type thing. If anyone has some insight on this subject please let me know. Also if anyone has any idea on how easy it might be to get a job as an anesthesiologist, if firms or such are always recruting.

My girlfriend had applied online for macy's job and they emailed her telling her to come to an interview.however they didnt say she had to dress professionally.when she got there they didnt let her go to the interview because she had on jeans. The managers or anybody didnt see her,the security guard at the door told her about the dress code.
She is real mad now and I told her she might be able to re-apply online.
Can she reply online or will they disregard her as soon as they seen her application again? Is there any chance that she can get another interview if she re apply.
What should she do
if she does re apply how long should she wait or how many days to re apply?

Why do we have to give a job at least two weeks notice before we quit? But they don't have to give us two weeks notice before they fire us, so we can look for another job. That's so bass ackwards. Sooooo unfair. Ever wondered that?

Hello. If an offer letter says you are entitled to a year end bonus (to be paid in January) as long as you are employed and in good standing through December 15, 2007, is the firm obligated to give it to the employee if the employee quits on Dec 16?

I have been employed for 10 years. No write-ups. No disciplinary actions. I am fearful that building I am in will be closing therefore I have been applying for lateral positins within another building/same company. I have applied for 4 lateral changes and 1 promotional change and nobody has responded. I have had my resume looked over by several people who have all "approved" of it. I am qualified for the positions I have applied for and some positions i am over-qualified for. Some of positions I am applying for have supervisors that have been w/the company half the length of time that I have been w/ the comp. Nobody will call me back for an interview or to let me know why I am not being chosen for an interview. I questioned HR and asked for their advise, it took HR 3 weeks to respond with a simple"call w/concerns". I am now forced to find other employment as I do not want to be without a job or stay at a dead end job. Is my job discriminating agains me? Do I have a legal case?

Ok, my family is broke, my mom is single, she lost her job. So what is the best way I can get the part-timr job I want, besides just filling out an application. Or at least what would you do if you were desperate for a job.

I have very bad eyesight and unable to drive when i am older, at first i wanted to be in the police but i have found out that i need better eyesight. my eyes cannot be treated as not even lasor surgery can help me.

I am predicted very high grades at school but i'm not sure what job i could do when i am older because of my eyesight.

There are health and safety laws stopping me from working with any machinery or anything my eyesight may affect.

What job should i get and what courses should i take at college.

I have about a year and half left to get any bachelors degree, I am just trying to decide what would be the best option to finish and get a job relatively fast that pays well.

She sent an email joke around. I replied back 'You're hideous!'.

I meant to say 'hilarious' but that damn spell-checker...

Anyway, she is hideous. That's the problem.

Of course I explained the situation to her and our boss (he chuckled).

Thanks

I ask her why did she have me take the drug test for? She said the person under her sent me by accident, and she was sorry. Oh, she did say that she wants to keep me in mind because she may call me in the nest 30 days? AHHHHH!! This is like a nightmare! I am wanting to pull my hair out strand by strand!! Please people...Has this kind of thing happened to you, and how did you handle the disapointment, and the feeling of dispair? Any help from my Yahoo family is SO appreciated! The receptionist called this morning to schedule a second interview on Monday at 9 am, it was the only avaiable time. After thinking about what I would say to my current employer, I decided to call the interviewer directly and ask if we could possibly meet at 8 am instead, if not that would be ok since I have vacation time left, but would prefer not to have to take time off work if possible. Otherwise I would see him at 9.

I then accidentally left my work # on his voice mail out of habit and I was very nervous. I didnt realize this until after I hung up. I called back and left him another voice mail saying I left you my home # but cell would be better the # is...

I was very nervous and felt like an idiot and was speaking kind of quick. Am I over analyzing this or did I hurt my chances of gettins this job? I am just not good on the phone...

If I ask the interviewer questions like how long they have been working for the company or do they like working here or even how they got to their position, would that be considered rude?

I want to be able to stand out from others at an interview.

a dog cracked my tooth at work 3 years ago when i was holding it while it was being groomed. i didnt know it was cracked until the next day, but since i didn't "report" it within 24 hours, my store manager said they wouldnt pay for anything. i did file an incident report though. i went to the dentist and they said to just wait until the tooth becomes loose and they will replace the tooth... but this could be anywhere from 2 - 20 years to happen. now i need a root canal because of the pain, but it has been 3 years. i will pay ATLEAST $300 out of pocket.

do i have a case?

I'm a very recent graduate, but have been working for an accounting company in Los Angeles. They pay me about $21 an hour and I'm just curious what the average wage is for someone like me.

Thank you!!
