My 5 year old daughter was just diagnosed with a brain tumor and I am not able to go back to work for a while. I need be able to pay my bills but I have to stay at home and be able to make my own schedule.

I am very sorry to hear about your daughter's condition and my heart goes to both of you trusting that your daughter will be fine enjoying her childhood to the fullest.
In my humble opinion there are no legitimate work at home jobs. Everything you will be offered is a business of your own out of which 95% are scams hungry for your $49.00.
The only feasible way I recommend is to find someone who is already successful in home based business that you yourself would love to do and ask them to coach you and teach you from the day one. This way you will eliminate all scams and pitfalls of starting your own business.

The majority of "work from home" positions are scams. Do some research and find a startup company that does not want to pay for office space at the time.

Babysitting in your home for kids of moms who work outside of their homes. Look at what skills and experience you have - some jobs adapt reasonably easily to being done at home, and sometimes a former employer will let you work at home doing the work you did before in their facility.
Watch out for the "work at home on your computer" "jobs" - almost all of them are scams, although they'll all tell you that THEY are not.
