I have payed hoildays and I work the overnight shift, however I would like to swipe out at midnight and go home. My job really dosen't require me to have to stay like a doc or nurse. I did however ask the boss if i could leave at midnight and she said no. Can I fight this and just leave because payed hoildays are a benefit to me?

really doesn't matter what is for. I just need a couple of certificates to hang on my wall. I don't want the kind you make, and put what ever you want, I want one for reals.

She is always looking for something that I am not doing HER WAY. She talks very loudly, telling me what I need to do, when I am trying to take care of a customer.
She is soooo annoying. She drives me crazy!! She is 38 years old & you would think that she could be a little more mature than that.
I just stand back & stay quiet. I don't say anythink except ok to her & in a very nice way. It makes me mad though because she doesn't talk that way infront of her MoM which her MoM is also the owner/boss.
I am so frusterated that I am thinking of quitting but I have been there for 3 years & I realy absolutely love my job! And my husband & I have 4 kids that we have to work & take care of. What should I do? Please I need some VERY GOOD ADVISE? PLEASE???

I am in an odd position and need some advice. I was a small business owner that brought the company from 0-2mil per year, on products fo my invention then sold it.

I also have owned a consultancy company of trade and investment in Vietnam, and have a lot of success.

I am not done working by a long shot, and no longer want the stresses fo being a small business owner. (FInancial security.)

I have over 15 years experience as a distribution manager for major companies, but is a fall back position.

I would really like to be involved in product development. However, does my recent experience and consulting past measure up?

My college is AS only and numerous business, logistics, or management specific courses.

Thoughts?? Try both?

I love what I'm doing but I can't stand my bosses. Just because I'm an intern, doesn't mean that I should be treated as some type of slave.

I have begun interviewing at other companies and am wondering if I should give my current employer a heads up. I do not want to cause any drama but also do not want to catch them off-guard should I take a new position.

Let me explain. She's been letting me take (along with my normal 1/2 hr. lunch break) 2 15-minute breaks each day. She once told me that it was some legal thing. I don't know about that... anyway, TODAY she tells me (knowing FULL WELL that I need my STARBUCKS coffee every day -- nothing else satisfies) that I may no longer take my 15-min. breaks. This is unfortunate, indeed. So, my question is, HOW IS THIS FAIR?! I do her favors all the time and I don't take cigarette breaks like 90 percent of the other people in my office... also, I NEVER EVEN TAKE my second 15-min. break. Is there something I can safely say to her?

I was leaning towards finance because I find that I am strongest in math and I am financially savvy When most kids blew their money on music CDs I would invest in bank CDs But now I have taken 2 classes that I need to get into the business college and both were boring and sort of hard to grasp so I figured finance wasnt for me I did however take interest in my Philosphy class I'm really creative and analytical Also people say I should be a journalist since I ask a lot of questions and when I talk to them they feel like they're being interviewed I have a little interest in art I have been drawing fancy lettering since I was a child and every now and then I would try to draw a family member and it would come out ok But I just look at my peers artistic abilities and nevr thought I would have a chance with my skill level After seeing RENT I have interst in theater/movie but I want to start off behind the scenes Math ACT 23 English 28 Ironic? But I dont like to write as much as I like math

... that says I must stay with the company for 3 years or I have to pay them money. Anyway, I'm afraid to ask my boss directly if that means that I can move out of state and work for the same company (because I don't want her to know that I'm contemplating a move)??? It says nothing specifically about that. What should I do?

I work with this company that has a job offer as just a regular forklift operator and or driver (which will pay more then I'm making right now). The requirement is a forklift license in which the company doesnt pay for or train you. So can I go to the dmv and schedule a class? Or is it a written test? I use to work at a storage place that didn't give a crap and let me ride their forklift if other people needed help.
