Just about everyone does a pre-employment drug test. Beyond that, most companies have a policy that you are subject to random drug testing at any time ... however, most don't enforce it unless you give them a reason to. Also, most companies require to take a drug test if you've had an accident at work. So the likelihood of having to take another is rare, but you never know when you might be in an accident. If your drug tests comes up positive after an accident, not only will worker's compensation not cover your medical expenses ... you'll lose your job. Drug tests don't tell the employer whether you were using at the time of your accident, only if you've got something in your system. So if you were to have an accident, you'll be screwed.

Just a friendly word of advice from someone who's "been there, done that" ... don't use drugs. Its not worth it.
