In April negotitions began for a pay rise at my old place of employment. I left at the end of september and the payrises have just been applied to peoples wages this week. Am I entitled to get the arrears as I worked for nearly 6 months from the date that the rise should have taken effect?

Only if they have paid everyone else back pay.

If not, then no I'm afraid.

EDIT.. In that case you are entitled to the back pay. Ask for it nicely but if you are in a union then get them involved. Good luck but you shouldn't need it. They have no case.

if you have had your settlement and then the pay rise came through i think you would have lost your entitlement due to not being employed at the time of the acceptance so dont build your hopes up sorry
you left in september they could have gone bancrupt in december and you would have said well i am all right i have my pay just like the poor people at the hamper place

You don't work there anymore. You aren't entitled to jack.
