Hello.

I’m just not sure if I should apply for the similar job again when I was rejected few months ago for the similar position in the same company. Well...I got the second round of interview, but in the final selection, I was rejected. It happened a few months ago, and I sent the hiring manager a formal letter after the rejection that I am still interested in the position and asked the hiring manager to let me know of any similar future positions within the company.

Today, I found out that there was a similar position opening in the company. Well...I didn’t hear from the hiring manager, I found out about it on the public recruitment website.

Do you guys think I should apply again for the similar position?
Should I give another try?
Or is it going to sound too desperate?

Does any of you have gone through similar experiences like this and successfully landed a job at the end?

Thanks always for great replies!

In Los Angeles,CA., What school would be a good place to try? What career colleges can I go to in order to try to become a paramedic or anything with medicine, except for working with little kids and just checking people's heart rate and weight. I want to learn how to make surgical dressings and give the right shots to people. Something above working with children(you know, trying to make them laugh, giving them a lollipop.) and below ER(u know, blood everywhere, life or death situations, arms missing)?

This week I got offered a job in biotech I like alot. However, another job, one that I like even better, wants to interview me tommorow. The first job needs to hear back by tommorow as well, so I don't have enough time to go to the interview and then call the first job to tell them if i accept. Should I risk it and take the first job and quit if I do really well with the interview tommorow and they want me to join??? I don't want to lose this opportunity for that great job, but I'd be happy with the one that already wants me THANKS!

I am currently 33 weeks pregnant and my supervisor has been unreasonably intolable about my work schdule. This month alone I have worked EVERY weekend. I had one Saturday and Sunday off this month, actually this weekend and on Tuesday she just pulled the clipboard down and made a annoucement that the schulde was going to be revised, and then took my weekend away without asking me if I had anything planned or anything! I'm growing so frustrated with her and her methods, she is totally unprofessional and does not deserve to have her position! What can do about her antics, and is it even legal or fair.

I live in florida, I am an exempt salary employee. If I do not work 80 hours in a given pay period, can my employer dock my pay? I worked every day in those pay periods (no sick days). They were just shorter weeks. When I go over the 80 hours I do not receive overtime. What is the point of being salary, if it is only benefiting the employer! If this is not supposed to be happening what recourse do I have to recover the lost pay?

I have not had much luck in my job search and an a friend suggested it is because of my previous teaching experience. Any ideas of how would that affect my chances of getting a job? Are there any negative character traits associated with former teachers?

ok last pay day our boss was late 3 days but does not say why. I suffered with my bills because of this. Today is we are supposed to get paid but he has been out sick and I really doubt he will be in today. There are 30 minutes left in the day and he has not even called to say he will be coming in late. But he had a meeting yesterday and was able to make that. I feel pissed off and I am thinking of leaving for that one reason. This is going to be the third time he lets everybody down. What would you do?

I work at a place where the whole management is hypocrites. It is a formal dining restaurant, family owned. The manager and the supervisor steal money out of waitresses paychecks which the money comes from catering events, parties weddings ect. The supervisor has been accused of being a lesbian and cheating on her husband and rumors have been flying. ever co worker of mine has said something about it. well last week we had a group meeting all the employees per say. the head manager is a male and he was not present when this happened or else he would have done something on the spot. the supervisor cursed, threw things, told us we dogged her out i guess this is slang or something who knows but anyway. she said if she hears something about her having affair with a person at work she will knock their teeth out this is a threat. she basically threatened all of us. she said this off gossip 2 waitresses went back and told her what we were saying. can she get fired?

I applied for a county government job. I went to the interview more than 2 weeks ago and still no answer. The interviewer told me it takes 2-3 weeks by mail to notify you to for a 2nd interview if you make it. I haven't got a call or letter whether I passed or not. Is the wait long? Should I call and ask if the job has been taken? Does any government worker have experience with this process? How does the government interview process compare to private industry (ie. is it harder or easier)? To be exact it's going to be 3 weeks since my interview this Friday. I know in private industry if they really want you they call you right away but in government I'm not so sure because of all the red tape and bureaucracy. Does this mean they don't want me? I did all the correct steps, thank you letter and everything. Btw this is for the auditor controller LA county. Thanks

One of my supervisors just called me up to see if I could work overtime on a project I was supposed to be helping her with all afternoon, only she's just now done with her end of it and it's 30 minutes to closing time. Normally I would stay and help, but I have plans tonight and I can't stay. I told her I'd come in early tomorrow to help but she said it has to be finished by tonight. Then I made the mistake of saying, "Well, I've been ready to help you all afternoon, and you weren't finished yet." So now she's mad. What do you think I should do? I don't want to get fired...
