Talk to your co-worker first. Let him know that as a team you can get more done, faster and have time for the more pleasant aspects of your jobs. If that doesn't work, talk to your immediate supervisor. You can also use this to your advantage: Don't complain and do the extra work making sure your supervisor notices that you are really working hard and you could get a bigger raise or maybe a promotion! Good luck!

Any manager or boss worth what they are paid probably already see what's going on and if the don't they will soon enough. You have a job to do and all you can do is the best that you can do. Your job performance will be rated on what you do and your follow thru with jobs and customers ... not what he/she does or doesn't do. Getting upset over another employees lack of responsibility or inability to perform will get you no where and only add stress to your life.

Go talk to the store manager or your department manager and let him know that your co worker is not doing what he is supose to do. remeber that customers come first. If you have something very important to do you want to keep those customers happy. your manager needs to give a talk to him/her. Its not that your bossing him around, its just he works there to and you can't do 2 things at the same time.

When he ask for your help, tell him that his problem. If he is suppose to help you and slacks off on his part of the job, give him fair warning that you will talk with the supervisor, then if he does not shape up, report him.

If he doesn't respond to reasonable persuasion, then you mention it to your boss. The boss would want to know if he has someone like that working for him, and the coworker deserves to be told on if he refuses to help out with little things like that.

Tell your employer that one of your fellow employees is not working with you. You might add they refuse to work with you. And ask to work in a different section, or different days, so you won't work with that individual.
