This was my third interview and no offer was made. I do know that it is the final step in their interview process. What should I expect now, since I made it this far?

Hi! Yesterday I went to a job fair for the starbucks opeining in my town. We dont have one within like 50 miles. I worked at a coffee shop for 4 years. I went to my interview with my application, resume and letters of recomendation. I got a second interview that same day. At the end of my second interview the man interviewing me told me he loved my answers to his questions and it was extremely pleasent chit chattin with me. He filled me in on dress code and everything and told me if I landed a posistion they would call on friday. There was a lot of people there interviewing for the store posistions...I think I really nailed the interview but I am so afraid I will be overlooked...do u think the way it sounds I will get the job?

I've read a little bit about both professions. The road to becoming a doctor seems really difficult.

That's why I'm thinking about nursing instead.

I've heard that nurses come in contact more with the patients than doctors so is that true?

Is there anybody out there willing to share some experience about being a doctor or nurse.

Thanks.

I am so frustrated myself because I cannot speak English well. Even though I earned a degree and have been living in the U. S for 6 years?! I started from ESL course and ,finally, finished the school this year. It was a big challenge to earned a degree in the U.S. for a 45 years old woman.
All my friends said “you should be proud yourself.” .....ya...right..but HOW??? I don’t have any confidence. .I have lost that. Sure, I have no problem reading and I know that I still have to improve writing skills. BUT spoken English, it’s beyond me.
Whenever I speak, my husband said “ Oh, f***, what hell are you talking about?”
“ I don’t understand you” etc..so I become sick to speak. I know I have to fight and should not allow him to do that. It was my fault, my bad. I practice speaking English every day, but I feel miserable. How can I get back my confidence? Good / strong communication skill needs any business field. I have to improve my communication skill as soon as possible in order to get a job. Please give me any advice..practical, professional advice..PLEASE.

Being a nursing assistant in a nursing home is a rewarding job. However, it is a high stress job mentally and physically. It doesn't pay very much. A lot of nursing homes don't offer benifits and if they do it is so high the aids cannot aford it. It is a dead end job and you cannot move up in it. They do all of the labor while the nurses chart or visit at the nurses station mainly of evening or grave yard shifts or on weekends. They work short a lot of the time. Is this concidered wage slavery.

I have 5 years of retail sales/management experience at my current job with Verizon Wireless. I'm making pretty good money right now but I'm sick of working retail. I want to get an office job where the hours are normal and where I don't have to interact with bitchy customers all day. What kind of job can I get being that I have sales/management experience in retail but no degree.

Are they sales reps who have to either go door-to-door or do cold calling? What is an example of an outside sales rep? Just wondering because I'm looking for a PT job right now and saw this opening for outside sales rep.

I was working for a company for about 2 months. During those 2 months, I really tried, and I helped out everyone in the office (ie drive up to 90 minutes to another town just to pick something up for their files!) According to them, they are letting me go because I was not progressing as fast as they need me to be, so I was like ok, I guess this is not the job for me. I applied with another job, and a good friend of mine happens to be the boss there. He told me that I was let go by the company because I refuse to do work and I was uncooperative! Whoa whoa whoa. I was never told that!!! I knew it was total b.s. because I worked my butt off in there and like I said I did what I was told to do unless I had client appointments that day! Now I am worried that if I try to apply for another job, they are going to tell the prospective employer the same thing and I wont get the job. What are the laws on how much info can previous employers can release about an ex employee. (I live in TX)

Well i really like skiing, I've only done it once and I plan on doing it a lot this winter and mastering it. I think that i would really enjoy working at a ski resort, a fairly large one and one that I dont have to take years of training to work at. Has anyone reading this ever worked at a ski resort, what skills do you need to have, what kind of jobs are availuable there? How much did you get paid?

and lastly what resort around the U.S would you recommend working at?

Please only respond if you have worked at a resort, know someone who has, or for some reason just know a lot about them.

Thank You very much, sincerely yours

For a while now I've always wanted to be a personal assistant especially celebrities because I never gossip or slander, I love to help people, I love to travel and the sorts. I always wanted to be an assistant of something like Administrative or Personal assistant. I am very trustworthy too, and alot of people confide in me their personal secrets. I just love doing things for others.

Suggestions on how to get started?

My biggest obligation is I don't know how to drive yet and I know you MUST know how to drive.

Tell me how I can start a network or get to know the rich and famous, where I need to go and so forth. Thanks!

8 months ago I was transfered to an exclusive division of my company. The woman I share an office with has 10 years seniority and is exploiting me. She leaves just about everyday 2-3 hours before the office closes. I am stuck taking her calls, doing her work, etc. along with my own work. I have had to stay over and finish her stuff (leaving it is not an option). I have made sure our boss knows how hectic it gets without her and I think he said something to her because lately she only leaves when he's not around (2-3 days a week). On holidays we only have to come in long enough to get the basics done. She left me there while she went shopping. I finished my work and had to sit there 2 hours while she did her work. I could have been with my family. Her kids call and say they need her at school to get her out. We are salaried so it doesn't affect her pay or attendance. The boss has made it clear we have to work out covering each other ourselves. How do I handle this?
