This was my third interview and no offer was made. I do know that it is the final step in their interview process. What should I expect now, since I made it this far?

At some point by now the income issue should have been addressed. They may assume you already know what it is or maybe they looked at your past pay history and are going to offer you that. Was there not a salary displayed with the job opening or is this something you found through a contact of some sort?

If they have not directly offered you the position yet then they will probably do so when they make the job offer. If they call with a job offer you must ask what the pay package and incentives are. You can say you were too excited about the job opportunity and didn't have the chance to ask but you want to be able to set your budget and financial goals for yourself and need to know.

Like the other person said you could always call the interviewer and apologize for interupting their day but mention the fact that pay had not yet been discussed....this can put pressure on them because if they want you they will think you are looking at other job offers and might bolt if they don't show you something good. It's a simple fact of life...we are controlled by money, your interviewer knows that and is most likely expecting the question to come up anyway.

Usually, a real pro HR person will, at the end of the interview, tell you when you expect an answer.

Since you did not ask the interviewer when a decision will be made, you do not know when to expect the good or bad news.

Since you had been through 3 interviews, suggest you wait for 2 weeks, counting from the day of your last interview. You can call the interviewer to ask WHEN a decision will be made. If you think it's safe to ask him directly whether or not you are successful - then do it!

If you got to the third interview you are doing well. You never really know what is going on with the person doing the hiring. I agree with the othe answer that you could give a follow up call to thank them for the time spent and just restate your interest in the position, or you could send a thank you card along the same lines.
