things like crayon names, candel scents, lotion scents, ect.?

The Inventors, special employees, the Marketing department,.. too many things. Too many people.

There are, however, some times the Inventor makes something and then COPYRIGHTS it,.. so if another brand tried to recreate it they have to wind up dealing with the inventor and if someone tried to use the name... again they must face the Inventor. This seems most common with Paints,... I don't know why.. but then clothes, perfumes, crayons,.. etc,.. all try to copy and have to face the creator/inventor.

Who knows--my best guess is someone who creates the product. Other times a team is working on a specific idea like for the holidays a company may produce a cranberry line. crayola has crayons that are based on skin tones
