Go to graduate school so that you've got a marketable skill that pays well?

Everybody I know with a bachelors in economics went on to something else...

To tell you the truth if your still young in school as in you're still a freshman or sophmore, I would think about an accounting major because you can do a whole lot more with an accounting degree then an economics degree

A lot. You can fully understand our economy which will let you work in all most any financial job. You run for office because you will understand our economy better than 99% of the population. You can run your own business more efficiently since you have a good back ground. Since we live in a capitalistic society, an economics degree will allow you to pick from multiple areas.

Many large companies higher economics majors in their marketing departments. Large financial intsitutions, especially those heavily vested in the stock market, higher economics majors, too.

You might get a job in politics as a support staffer or in a brokerage company as an analyst.

If not there is always the service industries. They are looking for people with general skills who can say the words: "Supersize that?"
