Last year, I was a victim of a well-known work bully. She is a boss, and she rules by instilling fear. Everyone at this place knows she is a bully. She picks out people, scrutinises them and puts them on a "development plan" which she monitors until she gets bored and gives up or gets rid of them. Last year, she gave me a lot of stress by scrutinizing me when I was having family problems (bereavement). She offered me counselling. All I needed was to be left alone for a bit but she made me think my job was on the line and gave me a development plan, which meant spending a lot of time with a "mentor" to deal with petty issues which I was more than capable of dealing with myself. She systematically picks off people and puts them onto such "development plans". She demeans people and humiliates them. The problem is, she does the big boss's dirty work for him. What can we do?!?

My question is: Is 72.70 excellent? better? good? so-so? or no hope to be employed?

I thought about being a nurse but it's not creative enough for me I think...to much science. Then I wanted to do Graphic Design but there's not much of a demand for it. Do you know of any careers that are both creative and in demand?

I am getting a job at my local albertsons next week and my dad just told me i have to join the union to work there. It costs money and i got to fill out some stuff but then i found out from a friend that i also have to take a drug test. This was about a month ago when he told me that so i stopped smokin and finally i was going to be able to smoke after i got hired but now my dad is telling me i dont really have to do any of that stuff till later like 3 to 4 months.(By the way my dad is the manager of the store and thats why he knows all that stuff). So my question is for anyone who has joined the union for there job or if someone just knows about it, do they take drug tests? When do they? and if there is anything else i should know about being in the union or working for albertsons?

Ok, I'm no good with interview questions and need some examples. I have mostly worked in the food service industry. This is a job at a hotel. I have some examples friends have been asked:

1. Tell me about a time where you failed
- I have not really failed much in a job.
2. Give me a time where you felt it was hard to keep moticated.
- cant think of anything
3. Tell me of a time where you had an idea and fostered it into a previous situation related to an assignment?
4 Tell me about a time where you worked with somebody who had opposite values as you. What did you do?
- never had this happen, but i know it gets asked a lot

I just started a new job about 2 and a half weeks ago and my uncle offered to fly me to Hawaii this weekend to babysit my cousin (all costs on him). He has no one else to go besides me and I really want to go. The only thing is I am suppose to work this weekend both saturday and sunday. Do you think I should stay and work...or take the once in a lifetime offer and go. I doubt my boss would like it very much if I went, but I am probably never going to get an offer like this again.

I work at a high-end denim company in Los Angeles as a Technical Designer. I've been at my curreny workplace for a year and a half now. Everything was cool, but now I'm BORED! I don't want to do anything and it's hard to concentrate because my attention continually wanders. Should I just give up and find something else?

I looked at another ad for a position that opened up with a naval museum that I had applied for a few days ago. I took a good look at the advertisment and then realized that the resume I sent in didn't address some of the requirements of the job.

Should I email the resume again, telling them that I made a mistake on the first one (or say that here's an "updated" version of the resume)?

Good techniques on revenge or should I just be a good girl and move on???
