I thought about being a nurse but it's not creative enough for me I think...to much science. Then I wanted to do Graphic Design but there's not much of a demand for it. Do you know of any careers that are both creative and in demand?

Also, if you could specify what college major it would take to have that career that would be great.

fyi, I can't stand math, i compose music and can read it and play 4 instruments, I love working with computer programs like Photoshop, and I'm super good at anything to do with English. If that helps at all with what you suggest.

Lolo, I so relate to your career objectives. In college I studied fine art. I loved the creative process, but really graphic design was too confined for my creative interests. Marketing is a brilliant corporate mix of your creative needs, and yet for a reasonable salary and in demand. I know you don't fancy math (I don't either), however I found myself working in Corporate Marketing Intelligence, then in Information Technology (IT).. What I found is that there is a curious relationship between the creative temperment and IT people. Best pay best flexibility is here from my experience.

Options that might really appeal to you--

1st choice Marketing in a young innovative cutting edge Technology company.

2nd choice IT in a mid to larger sized company would you give you a bit of specialty skills, advancement room, and the ability to write your own ticket as a good creative problem solver.

In a larger company look for Internships until you find your right gig - that is a great way to open doors for companies that want to hire and find a real win win in hiring great people.

Entry level Marketing or IT could deal with AA or BA or BS. If you need to make money before your degree is complete, look for Administrative Assistants in Marketing or Project Management.

Math requires more imagination and creativity than most careers. Insurance companies hire mathematicians.
Law is also avery creative occupation. Lawyers need to be very creative and very precise.
Engineers and Scientists must be very creative. They use their imaginations and brain power to solve all sorts of problems. Software engineers must be very creative. They are always inventing new and better ways to handle information and make computers work better.
There is a start. Don't expect it to be easy to work in a creative environment. Those people don't hire just some anybody to sit in a chair to be creative. They hire smart and well educated people and encourage them to be creative. There are lots of creative and artistic people who work in coffee shops. You don't want that, I'm sure.

any job can be creative

What if you were a hospice nurse, and your job was to find creative ways to keep your dying patients spirits up?

Graphic design can be incredibly boring - I know lots of CAD designers who spend hours re-drawing a part that a CAE engineer gives them.

Computer programming can be very creative - if you're programming video games.

If you want to be in demand, do something that can't easily be outsource and needs your warm body here - physical therapy, nursing, occupational therapy, chauffeur,

you have to find something you love first!!! what other people think is both creative and in demand may not necessary be the same to you. do you know what strength or talent or skill you have? figure it out first.

You can create your own websites or blogs @ blogger.com and put up your products' photos and services if you have any. If you can create websites or blogs and can type, you can make online money online easily. You may make money by publishing Google Adsense on your websites. If you have a website or a web-blog, you could make money by publishing advertisements on your site (by google). If someone clicks on those ads, you will earn money. If you don't have a website, you may start creating web-blogs like blogger.com (mostly free) with advertisements (google ads) on it. Some free websites don't allow you to publish google adsense because they are doing it themself.
