Do you know a lot of people who are going to college for graphic design or who want to be graphic designers? Of those people, how many of them do you consider to be talented in this area?

I graduated college this year and I was having trouble finding a full-time position that was located close to the town I live in and that involved doing something I like. So, I took this part-time position at a Real Estate/Law firm which I start next Tuesday. Its a small firm very friendly. I know because I attended school with one of the employees there and I use to stop by to visit my friend every now and then.(really nice people). I start on Monday but I've already been told that this position can turn into a full-time position within the next couple of months. The only thing is I just got a call from a company about a full-time position. What should I do? If I did get the full-time position, I don't want to quit the job after a week, but at the same time I might have a chance to work full-time and get benefits. What should I do?

When you get a rejection letter, it invariably states somewhere that they are going to hold on to your resume for a certain period of time and keep you in mind for future openings. Is this statement just tacked on to make you feel less bad, or do some of them actually follow through with this promise?

I just got another offer for more $ with another company. They have better benefits, but I am worried about leaving after 8 months. I gave them opportunity to match but not until I resigned and accepted the other offer did they match. The truth is that the new job is a lateral move. I'll be a team member rather than my currenty position where I am a team of one and have potential for others to be hired under me.The n-job project is really cool and the location is in the city. Currently I don't use any tools that I need to learn or for career growth. At the other job, they use tools and they fully pay for certifications. My current manager said that he could move me onto a project where I would work in the city. The other company is rated one of the best places to work in the US.I am worried about the PM on the new job, he acted like I had two heads when I asked about career growth. The N-job has 5k tuition per yr reimbursment. So, I can stay, and then tell the new comp forget it or go

I currently work at cvs, and i've been there since last year. I was hoping if this would be the appropriate time to switch jobs to a more direct approach to my dream job. I would like to work for pixar and need some advice to what kind of work would be related to such a career. Where i work at cvs, i get a lot of communication, and where i can study the human behavior (especailly children, their so funny). but again im looking for a good job that would make the employer say "wow...you have a lot of experience in this field. YOUR HIRED!!" ok i suppose that last part wouldn't happen but along those lines. anyone? thanks

For example I see all this misleading articles about what a great salary and great opportunities people with business degrees have. I live in Miami FL and have a 4 year degree in finance and business administration from a Florida State Business school. I have persistently applied for careers and all employers really care about is your experience. I mean if I have a 4.0 gpa and have some experience why am I getting paid like a high school graduate. Honestly if you ask me now what I think of business schools are that they are a piece of sh*t and all of them are a ripp off. I wish people realized what a hypocrate society this is and if I can do it all again I would dump my degree in the garbage and ask for all my tuition money back and used those 4 years to just gain experience and stay debt free. Anyone experiencing the same experience? I guess this world its all about who you know and not what you know.
