You have to be patient and compassionate, and enthusiastic enough to keep it all interesting.
Just make sure every one has a good time, and don't let anyone get left out. It helps if you actually like the kiddos too.

respect the kids, listen to them, be kind and firm about the rules. have interesting things to do with the kids, and be open to each kid and try to keep all kids entertained...if the child is scared about trying new things, hiking, swimming respect that and encourage them to try but do not force. if timid about doing something, take their hand and do it together... play games with them during day and when dark also. [also ask them for ideas of what they would like to do or try.

be caring, excepting, not to harsh, be funny, your self, and dont be afraid to tell the person i charge of the camp about someone who isnt listening to you.
