For example I see all this misleading articles about what a great salary and great opportunities people with business degrees have. I live in Miami FL and have a 4 year degree in finance and business administration from a Florida State Business school. I have persistently applied for careers and all employers really care about is your experience. I mean if I have a 4.0 gpa and have some experience why am I getting paid like a high school graduate. Honestly if you ask me now what I think of business schools are that they are a piece of sh*t and all of them are a ripp off. I wish people realized what a hypocrate society this is and if I can do it all again I would dump my degree in the garbage and ask for all my tuition money back and used those 4 years to just gain experience and stay debt free. Anyone experiencing the same experience? I guess this world its all about who you know and not what you know.

Tech classes at your local college is the way to get into a nice profession. From there you can sink your money into more college that will help ya move up the chain or with the knowledge you will earn and experience you receive in your profession you can move on to better paying jobs. I took power plant tech for 3 months 2 days a week 5 hours a day for a nice tuition of $650 and got a certificate of accomplishment. Put that on a resume and sent it to the local power plant recruiting station :p And low and behold 6 months later I was called in for 3 interviews and an immediate drug screen and the following Monday I was on my way to what now is a $70k a year job
You have a buisness digree. Pick your profession and move up the chain. The key to alot of nice jobs is just getting your foot into the door. You may be able to bid into that position in the future. That would be a question you could ask the person giveing you the interview. Remember your not only getting interviewed. Your also interviewing them. ;)

I agree with you because I am on the same boat. I graduated with a Business degree this past May. Not only did I have a good GPA, but I was working at the same company for almost 4 years. The reason why I did not stay with the company is that they do not have a career path. Anyway, I am having a hard time finding a job because employers are asking for want someone who has some type of experience in the related field that I am applying for (ie business to business sales, management). I have always been told that a college degree will help me find better jobs as well as better paying jobs. What I noticed about some people is that they got their entry level jobs because they know someone in that company. Networking is probably the best way to get your foot in the door, and possibly even getting that job.

A BA is useless. Nobody cares. My grandfather, who never graduated from high school, made more money then me working at General Motors 20 years ago. Would getting a graduate degree help? Maybe... I don't know. I've heard horror stories about that as well. I finally decided to go into business for myself, but, it's certainly not easy, and the pay is terrible. You need money (a lot), to make money in this day in age it seems. It's depressing...
There's always a bunch of people who say you have to make your own luck, or something similar, but, jeez, sometimes you feel like your out of ideas...

What you did not know is that advertising is not always the truth.
You bought something that does not have the benefit you were sold. Now you are wiser. Try creating your own business to increase your wealth, use the knowledge you got in business school - don't depend on others for your salary. Make your own money by having your own enterprise.
