Network, Network and Network!
This is the most effective way to get jobs in UK.

Use your alumni network, previous professional or personal network, ask for referrals etc. So many good jobs are never listed anywhere.

It also matters a lot what school you graduate from. If there is any choice, try to get into the best school you can. i.e. London School of Economics, London Business School etc.

Best wishes.

I have a similar job and got a business degree. Your degree will help you get an interview. However, once you're at that stage, its down to how you perform during the assessment process. Getting some relevant work experience will also help a lot.

it helps as it is relevant, but there is no guarantee. To give yourself the best chance, you need to be aware of what's happening in business / general economy. Read widely - FT, Economist, business pages.

PS - you weren't very specific when you mention financial job. That could mean lots of things. Good luck
