Depending upon you situation you need to first look at which one has the best long run effect. You could get a good high paying job at first but whats in the end. You could get a low paying job with increases every few months ! look ahead 6-12mos.what about raises? Does it come with benefits? 401k? Bonuses. Also, please look at if they have a high turn over in employees. Some company's will hire just to fire. If it's a temporary thing these things don't matter but if your in it for the long haul keep these things in mind. That goes for every body who reads this as well. Good Luck

Only you hold the answer to the question 'which job to choose'. List down the pluses and minuses of the 2 jobs, and decide from there.

It'll be tough when you take the family into considerations. What's good for them might land you a job that you'll not enjoy, and you suffer in the long run. The best job is always something you enjoyed doing, take pride in doing and is happy with it.

It all depends on what you are looking for. Good luck!

You could put on a piece of paper, the pro's and con's of each job and see what you think. I always try to imagine my life how it would be if I would take the job. Changes that I would have to make and if I am willing to do those things. Like, would I be able to go home for lunch, are the hours more rigid than mine are now and how would I like that? What about the people I'd work with? Am I comfortable with the changes that my life would take. If the jobs are about the same, I think I would just go with imagining myself in each job and what that would be like. Others can tell you what they think, but you are the one doing the job changing and are the only one who knows what you want and don't want.

What's important to you?

Money
Growth
Travel
hours of work
flexibility

Make a list of your family values, and then throw each job up against those values.

I can make a ton more money in another job, but my job I can do from home or in the car, so if my kids are sick, I'm still working. That is worth more to me than $$.

i'm not sure what sites there are but determining which job you pick should be determined by which one intersests you more. but you should only pick if if you jknow how to do that job. also you could choose which job to pick by which one has the better pay. however that choice is often made only in the attempt to get more money. then when they get the job they don't know how 2 do it. so um. well its your choice. good luck. i hope i helped.

Determine quality of life. Figure out where you want to live, i.e., climate. Figure out which one will allow for career growth. Figure out which one your family prefers. Figure out which one has the hottest coworkers.

The jobs will both have pros and cons. Assign rating number values to each quality of life metric (low=bad, high=good). Weigh their totals and decide.
