I started to try cashcrate and when i got to the end of the survey, it wanted me to give my credit card# for a 7 day trial.

It wouldn't let me decline that part so I had to cancel the whole thing.

PS Got another job offer (neither job is better than the other, but I know the other will be busier), pay isn't much of an issue either - it doesn't vary much. It would start in a month. Quit job now? Accept other job? Quit other job in a month after they've fully trained me? What to do! HELP!

My 11 year old want to work for more than I can provide her with. She's a trained babysitter - CPR certified, but parents think she's too young. Is anyone willing to hire a responsible, hard working youngster? How do we find jobs?

Hi,
I had a miscarriage recently. I was out of work (counting complications during my pregnancy and miscarriage) for about 6 days. Three unconsecutive days during my pregnancy, and three consecutive days during and after my miscarriage.
I was going to use FMLA, but my boss made me use sick time and vacation. Is this appropriate? Is miscarriage not covered by FMLA? I am afraid to go to HR with it, because my boss may find out and feel I am challenging him.
Serious answers please.

I filled out the paperwork for my research job to start getting paid but the lady forget to ask my boss about my wage. I told the lady that I used to do this kind of work and started at 8.50/hr and would like to make 9.00/hr because I have experience doing this kind of work. I also said that I don't want to seem too demanding...
She kind of looked at me weird. Should I not have said anything? I just don't want a wage of 7.00/hr when it is more rigorous research work that my previous job.
btw, I am an undergrad.

I have always strived to be #1 at work and I am currently in a position, where I see that I will not be #1, #2, or #3 (this is out of a group of 6 employees) for a long time. This is a hard realization for me.
I feel like that if this was school I would be a D student, which is not acceptable to me. I know that with time I will move up the ranks.
Is it ok not to be #1? Do you have any suggestions on how I can come to terms with myself?

Please help, any advice is appreciated.
I am starting to see a pattern in the way my time progresses at a job. When I get a new job (which on average is every 1.5 years), I am gung ho and I am a VERY fast learner, I have no problem catching on. Then I spend the next 6 months to 1 year learning the details of the job. At that point I feel almost like an expert in my job, but I know that there is always more to learn. Then I get really comfortable and see that I do not know all of the details, but for some reason I do no have the spirit to learn any more because I like being comfortable and I feel that I have done my time. However in not knowing these little extra things that the seasoned people know, I feel stupid and start to hate my job and I start seeing flaws in the way things are done. And then I start looking into moving on to a new job.

My parents both kept the same 1 job their whole lives. What's wrong with me? How do I get past this? Is this normal?
