Try Employment Standards

It may be up to the discretion of your employer whether they pay you for a sick day and how many you are entitled to. In BC at my job I am fortunate to get 12 days a year and they carry over - I've only taken 3 so far this year.

An employer is not entitled to grant any sick days to their employees. Those who do are being generous to their staff. Nowhere in the Employment Standards Act does it state that staff get paid sick days.
