I filled out the paperwork for my research job to start getting paid but the lady forget to ask my boss about my wage. I told the lady that I used to do this kind of work and started at 8.50/hr and would like to make 9.00/hr because I have experience doing this kind of work. I also said that I don't want to seem too demanding...
She kind of looked at me weird. Should I not have said anything? I just don't want a wage of 7.00/hr when it is more rigorous research work that my previous job.
btw, I am an undergrad.

no way with you being undergraduate, studies and puting yourself threw college would i sit there for now 7.00 and hours hon!1 you dident state how much experiece you were dragging in the door too, and what kind of refrences they gave you hons, and what happned to your last job-- wre you fired lay of quit what?/ thaTS what she was looking at and how long were you out of work?/ and i wouldent have really said anything, about pricing she should have told you whats on the table shes paying you according too a budget, etc, and what it would cost them for your wages bye the year traing, taxes, and, insurace. i would have listen too her pay scale, most employerss give there price now days if you dont like it hit the highways, althou you do have college and experience, i dont think they wanted you for 9.00 and hour i think there going rate was around 7.00 and hour and is it a small firm big or what hons?/ and it may be more rigrous but you must prove yourself first most places start you at min-- wage and then you get a raise after the first 60 days hons!1 college or not you want too work??
