I've been working in this company for 2 months. This co-worker, through out my time, express his dislike of working at the company. Every morning he would come with a bad attitude and say this and that about the company. He look frustrated. He said it wasn't about the money, he just wanted out. When he resign b/c he had another job offer. He gave two weeks noticed but after all the drama, they made him a 90k counter offer. He was promoted to supervisor, now he walks around like he's the ****. We all have to work 45 hrs M-F but he gets to work 40hrs M-Thur. I don't think this is fair. Now he gives orders. What do you think.

I live in connecticut. I just graduated from college with a degree in psychology. I have been looking for a job sense May. I been on all the job sites like monster and career builders and the ones for connecticut. I been on like 10 interviews and haven't been hired for none if them. I been applying 2 work at mental hospital, clothing stores, banks, day cares, receptionist for doctors offices, restaurants. I have been looking in my local newspaper. It seems like I am either over qualified of under qualified for every job. There are no entry level jobs you must have experience for everything. I can't do anything with just a bachelors in the field of psychology. I can't get a masters yet cause my undergrad GPA was too low. I just need a job so I can move out of my parents' house and live my own life. What can I do?

I read that Goldman Sachs pays a lot, but you're expected to work 90 hours a week.

Also, you can't show any creativity or individuality.

Also, you have to be white (essentially) to work there.

Also, if you miff someone for any reason, they can blackball you for promotion, so you have to be perfect all the time.

It sounds kind of scary, I just wanted to know. I hear that Kwame Jackson of the first season of the Apprentice worked there, and he had to quit his job to appear on the show. And they don't let people come back after leaves of absence like that.

I am a very capable person? I am a manager where I work and I have many responsabilities. I work in retail so I deal with a large amount of people on a daily basis. I'm ready for a new career, something outside retail. I recently applied for a good job and had my interview last week. My interview was with a panal of five people, I was so nervous all I could here was my heartbeating in my ears! My answers did not reflect my capabilities AT ALL! needless to say I didn't get the job. I am not this person, I am usually calm and confident. How can I better prepare myself for my next interview? Now that this has happened I'm afraid I'll be that way next time!

I used to joke around with them and it was fun but lately its driving me nuts so I quit teasing them back hoping they would leave me alone. In addition I thought that I would be doing this for a long time and I used to love it but lately I am bored and uninterested. Is it time for a chnge in job or a change in coworkers? Has anyone else gone through or been going through this?

Some people just do whatever to keep their position. Do anyone really think of building a great company instead of the personal benefit right in front of them?

My husband has to do an interview over the phone, and I'm wondering if anyone has ever done that and has some tips. Are the questions similar to in person interviews? Did anything catch you off guard? What made things go well??

Hmmmm, here's my soapbox .Shouldn't there be a law regulating this? Shouldn't employers be required to tell you the pay for a positon before you apply so you don't waste their time and you theirs? There is nothing worse thatn getting hired and finding out you don't make enough, now you have an xtra W-2 to file for a day of work! With so many people on public aid, unemployed, in dire need of money, employers hold the resources they need like insurance, money, opportunity , shouldn't they be required to give felons, homeless, disabled, old, and the inexperienced a chance to fail first before they say no? Shouldn't employer be required to asnwer your request for employment within a certain amount of time ....say two weeks? Please write your local congressman about these issues . I am from Illinois and I am writing this to my congress peron! Thanks for listening.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Biology w\ an emphasis on MIcro and Molecular Bio. I've been working in sales and account management for the last year and a half and I've been managing\producing around 400k in business a year for the company I work for.

I'm trying to get out of sales altogether. I am planning on entering law school eventually, but would like to work in something environmental\legal\etc. in the mean time. Where do I even begin? I live in Orlando and it is a dead zone for this kind of stuff.

I politely told her ( co-worker ) she was ugly and that her clothing looked horrible. I gently instructed her to go home and change. The ugly wicked woman slapped me across the face. Of course I laughed in her silly face but it's the principle. I need advice for an employment lawyer, my friends. Give it now.
