By personality, it is not just the looks. It is how we conduct ourselves in the workplace and this has a definite bearing on team working. Teamworking results in synergy. On the other hand, one is a chistler as per 'Group Dynamics' the purpose of the team will not be served. Hence personalities count in a work place.

Think of it like a basketball team (or any team sport for that matter). If you have to many dunkers - than your are not going to be balanced, and the other team is going to easily defend against you because they know exactly where you are going. Same if you have too many 3 point shooters, or not enough rebounders. Every team needs balance. In the workplace this is just as true. If you have too many take charge Type-A personalities, then nothing will get done because everyone will spend too much time arguing about how it should be done (too many chiefs, not enough indians). The same if you have too many worker bees. Most importantly, if you get even one person who has a terrible attitude - it don't matter if they are the hardest worker in the building, they can wreck a team dynamic. No one person can win a championship - not even a Michael Jordan.
