We are all doing the same job and last month I did better than all of the directors put together!
These new employees are on 5k more! Thats a lot! Can I complain? Will it make a difference and can they do this?
Bastards!!!
I doubt I can do much about it-I am scared if I say something they will fire me but I am so upset...I know this is true because my boss's email address was on the advert!! It's a small business. Sales and Marketing...There is no point telling me to leave as I am 2 months pregnant..

I started this job about 8 months ago. Everything was fine until i had my apprasal and told them how my deptment could be run better. the changes i asked for we're carried out, and i don;t think my supervisor liked it, and began being a bit offish with me.
Before the comment he made i thought he was a alright guy, but now i just wanna knock him out.If i had no kids to provide for i would of done so already.
Any ideas leave or stay???

My boss recently sold his bussiness, but is required to consult for 30 days. He told me he was going to train me as management 4 differnet times, then hired a man instead. (a man he had fired 2 months before because he could not perform his job) He also just told me that women have no place running a beer and wine store. I have a witness to the remarks, plus I have another ex -employee whom he tried to reduce her pay and said to her that women have no place to be in charge.

If an employee's statutory sick pay is increased to the level of their salary, will the company still be able to reclaim the statutory sick pay or is it like other benefits in that the more you earn the less you get in benefits?

I am self-employed and work from home and sometimes find it SO hard to get up and get going and achieve everything I need to. It's not a case of organisation - I always have to-do lists on the go - it's a problem of mental attitude. I'm always hearing of people who get up at 5am and do the housework before putting in a full day's work and then cooking a four-course meal for 10 people, but how do you get in the frame of mind to achieve all that? I'm often simply not in the mood, and it just puts more pressure on me for when I have deadlines to meet.

What is the difference between three people that leave school at the same time, with similar qualifications, one goes on to successful one lives a mediocre life, while the other fails altogether?

I believe that it is the desire.

What would be a good part time job for someone lacking in confidence? I tried a pub job before and hated every minute of it ( The training was non existant though so that didn't help ). I'm going to uni in September so just want a part time job that wont stress me out.

First of all, if you are majoring in medicine, law, or engineering then I think it is worth the time and money. But, for all other majors, it is a waste of time because getting promoted is all about WHO you know and know what you know. My uncle is the President of a grocery store chain in Texas I will take over his 5 million dollar enterprise with only "some" college. I just want to get this out of my system. Life is not fair if you dont have connections, but its wonderful when you do.

I'm moving to Taiwan, and currently thinking of 3 options as my career there:
1) Find a food industry and get a job as QA/lab technician (as I hold a Food Technology degree), but I have stopped working in this field for the past 3 years.
2) Get a CELTA certificate there and look for job as English Teacher (I'm not English native speaker though and never had any teaching experience)
3) Do freelance English-Chinese translation jobs at home

Which of those jobs would be easier to approach and promise better pay/future?
Please advise! Thank you!

I am in school for Interior Design and want to get into remodeling houses. I am willing to work hard and not afraid of physical labor. This will give me a chance to learn firsthand what it takes to start my own business.

I did terrible mistake and it was so stupid.I stole from the company where I work at for 2 and half months.I did that because I need to take my baby to the hospital.
They fired me after I make a confession.I do regret it and won't do it again. Now Im so scared to find a job.Im afraid they will find out why I get fired. But in the same time I need to get a job to pay back the rest of the money and my bills.

Do you think the HR from the company I work before will tell them what I did?
Do you think I will have criminal file? even they don't bring the problem to the police and court.
I was working for big retail company.Do you think its a good idea to try to work in retail again. Will they find out about what I did?

Hello all,
I am a salaried employee and I work for a private company. I resigned my company a week ago. A few days ago my employer came back and told me I was overdue in the vacation time I took, and that they will have to take those hours from my paycheck. I worked several extra hours for this company and the employer has billed its customers based on my overdue work time I work for them. My question is, is my employer entitled to take that money of my overdue vacation time from my paycheck? Thank you
