We are all doing the same job and last month I did better than all of the directors put together!
These new employees are on 5k more! Thats a lot! Can I complain? Will it make a difference and can they do this?
Bastards!!!
I doubt I can do much about it-I am scared if I say something they will fire me but I am so upset...I know this is true because my boss's email address was on the advert!! It's a small business. Sales and Marketing...There is no point telling me to leave as I am 2 months pregnant..

I hate to ask this: But are the new hires men? You might also want to back your statements about your job performance in writing and then ask your boss why you are making so much less than your counterparts.

Is it possible that your company pays more for higher education or experience. Were you hired with the current title or did you come up through the ranks.

Take a deep breath and think about what you have accomplished. If you have recently excelled and have not been recognized it would not hurt to talk to talk to your boss. If he has been reasonable in the past he will understand the resentment that has been caused by this situation.

Remember he cannot fire you just because you ask the question. However, if you continue to stew about this situation, your attitude may cause him to question your value to the company.

Sometimes bosses get caught in a catch 22. If he really needs more employees and cannot get them without paying more, he also needs to understand that office moral can be negatively empacted.

Just be sure that you bring your concern to him as an individual, you do not want to be the spokesperson for the whole group. It would be better for everyone to express their concern individually so that no one will be the "leader of discent".

If you are in the UK then this is illegal. again, if uk, and youve been in the job a year then they cant fire you without good reason, they'd be looking at an industrial tribunal from the wrong end.
You have probably 6 months to go before maternity leave, and that difference in salary could really give you a boost, so I'd say something.

You dont mention if you are on a salary only, or bonus scheme. If the latter the ad may simply be overstating the case in the ad.
