Working in some sort of shop would help you build up your confidence, or helping out in a Residential Home for the Elderly - the residents love to have some 'new' to talk to them.

Wash cars. Put a sign up (even outside yr house if your on a busy road) and you don't even need to speak! - Just hold out yr hand for money!
Gardening?
Rent a petrol lawn mower, and walk round housing estates, offering to cut their lawn for a price.
Wash windows, turn up with a ladder, bucket and sponge, and say '£3 for your windows, Ma'am?'
Well done for actually wnating to get out there and do something!
