- Apprehend and interview internal/external suspects
- File charges on behalf of the Stop and Shop Companies with the aid of Police Department in court proceedings
- Prevent theft and improve internal/external loss prevention
- Minimize merchandise shrink; improve profitability
-Saved store thousands of dollars in shrink

and a whole lot more, They just don't pay what your really worth.My hubby has been doing it for 6 years, he is a manager now but the job usually begins at about $9.00hr. And can be quite dangerous because you can never be certain of the person you are apprehending, they could try to hurt you. I don't know how many times my husband has gotten hurt.

basically you'll either sit in a room surrounded with cameras and tv screen looking for people shoplifting. or you will be plain clothes walking the aisles of your store looking for people shoplifting
