is listing military a bad ideal?

You have a job you've been at for 6 months. Work, coworkers and benefits are wonderful and you're very happy. The commute is horribly long and you find you spend more time at work/on the road than you do at home. You have two young children (toddlers) whom you really only get to see and spend time with on the weekends. (You do see them an hour or two in the evenings, but you also have to cook dinner, etc. and the time isn't "quality" time).

You have an opportunity for a job much closer to home, pay and benefits are the same, but it would allow you an extra hour per day (if not more!) to spend with the family in the evenings.

You're fairly certain there's no way your current job would allow you to change your hours to be more flexible. What do you do? Ask them anyway (hoping that they *might* be able to, but this would mean you'd take a pay cut and lose your benefits) or accept the other job, and give standard two weeks notice?

I finished my Masters in History, loved the learning, but I can't find a job anywhere. Can't teach High School, no certificate, can't teach college even the Phds are unemployed. Museums don't even answer my applications, state and federal jobs send me back "you are not qualified" even though they asked for my Degree specifically. This was supposed to be a career change for me, but it looks like I will have to go back to my old job skills, or blow my credit rating.

I work as a bagger in a supermarket, where we have a full carryout service policy. However, considering I live near Miami, and the heat has been very intense (and dangerous to one's health). Can my employer legally enforce me to go outside in that?
No snide remarks, please. Insults will be reported.

I have been a high level EA for a 3 star Marine Leutennant General, worked with boards and am proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office including calendaring, budgeting, correspondance writing, etc. Since I live in an area with lots of celebs and CEOs, I would like to transition from EA to Personal Assistant. Any advice?

The company I work for was just bought by another. I will be without a job in about a week and all the new positions I have applied for have not responded yet back to me. I don't mean to be a cry baby but I feel really down right now and I just wanted to get some encouraging words. Please be nice.

I am anemic...and I get very tired. Working F/T is very hard for me. Some people can do, some can't. I am not gonna force myself.
I also don't work for the money...so I can quit and stay home. But what would you do? (PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE)

I left University half way though an MPhys Theoretical Physics degree last year due to family reasons. I have now transfered credit from that degree to one in Mathematics with the Open University which I'll be finishing in about two years time.
My problem is this, what do I do in the meantime for work? Are there any job out there which require A Levels in Mathematics and Physics?
I know there are plenty of crappy jobs (supermarket work etc), but I feel like I'm at a point in my life where I would like a job that utilises my qualifications and would actually be worth putting on the CV.
Any ideas?

I work F/T ( Monday to Friday) in Social Care. I need extra money and would like to find employment for a couple of evenings a week. Iv recently been searching for a new property & noticed that most Estate Agents don't work in the evenings so getting a late viewing is practically impossible. This means that theres a gap in the market. Iv worked in Sales before & seemed to have a flair for it. I would really like to try my hand at selling property - even on a commision only basis to start.I'm Currently living in Muswell Hill ( North London) but will be moving to Potters Bar ( Hertfordshire) in a few weeks. I work In East Finchley & Bounds Green ( both North London)Can anyone advice me on where to go from here??
