I work F/T ( Monday to Friday) in Social Care. I need extra money and would like to find employment for a couple of evenings a week. Iv recently been searching for a new property & noticed that most Estate Agents don't work in the evenings so getting a late viewing is practically impossible. This means that theres a gap in the market. Iv worked in Sales before & seemed to have a flair for it. I would really like to try my hand at selling property - even on a commision only basis to start.I'm Currently living in Muswell Hill ( North London) but will be moving to Potters Bar ( Hertfordshire) in a few weeks. I work In East Finchley & Bounds Green ( both North London)Can anyone advice me on where to go from here??

There are some Estaste Agents who work in the evening and at weekends. One of the Estate Agents close to where I live regularly puts a job vacancy in the local paper for Evening/Weekend Recption Staff.

So contact the Agencies in your area and ask them to seriously consider you the next time they are looking for Staff. Start off as a Receptionist/Office Worker and learn the trade that way, and eventually with persuation they will offer you a Trainee Negoiator position.

You will need to take some kind of a course to enable you to work as an estate agent. My friend is an estate agent, so I know that a sales background in itself is not enough unfortunately. Contact an estate agent, I think you need to do the course through them, they put you through the relevant training.
