Depends. Generally some industries like Finance, Banking, frown upon it. Others like Engineering, IT, Entertainment, Construction, do not mind it.

Not if it is in the field you are looking for, or if you don't have large gaps in employment. Working for a temp agency tells me that you are resourceful enough to go somewhere for what is termed "Stopgap employment" and that you are a good worker. It totally depends on your record with them, however. If it is spotty, or you aren't dependable, or there are large gaps, it can be a deterrent.

as long as there are no big gaps in employment it shoudn't matter. some fields have more temp jobs than others. Why would you want to work temps? There is no future and no benefits.

do you have a good reason for having a long history of temp work?
Or do you have something in your resume' that emplyers don't like?
