just file for unemployment until you find another job because you might not win your lawsuit, or get enough from the settlement to cover your expenses, plus you won't be working there anymore even if you do win a law suit, so you'll be looking for another job anyway, and if I were a prospective employer, I would be leery of hireing a person who had sued their previous employer. Just let it go, bow out with good grace, and get on with your life.

Figure out what you did as an employee that made your employer want to get rid of you and correct the behavior.

Get the documentation in your hands for your records.
Then call & make an appointment with your former employer's personnel dept manager.
Ask to have all derogatory information deleted from your record.
Ask to have back wages paid to you.
If you want the job back, ask to have your job reinstated.

well if it were me i'd go ahead and file for unemployment then when they ask if you were fired let them no the hole story and they will get bothsides of the story and if they find there was no misconduct they will still pay you the benifits you deserve or you could call a lawyer ...
