I do not want to get my masters in English, but I do want to have a masters degree. What graduate degree helps to further the careers of English majors the best?

Before you ask - I don't know what career I want to get into - anything where I can write for a living would be heaven, but I haven't come across anything just yet.

I have been in this company for 19 years and I am thinking of changing to a new environment but I have no confident because of my age and also the uncertain market for people over 40. I really hope to learn new things but at the same time is afraid that once out, I will regret.........

What should I do on my first day of working at Books-a-million, to get everyone to like me. Should I bring chips and dip? Or Allouette and veggies or no food or what? I'm a nice person, but not a big talker.

I turned 40 and would like to go back to school but don't know what career path to take. I am hoping that you may have found a career that doesn't come with a mandatory retirement age and can recomend it to me.

I would prefer to be able to continue working in this career one or two days a week when I get older. I really admire my uncle who is a Psychologist but I can see that with that career it can take a while to build up a client base.

Any thoughts?

I went on a job interview today. The job was for a telephone company where as you would be sitting at a desk talking to people about what services this company offer and why should you choose this company. Its entry-level but the pay is between $600 and $700 dollars. The interview went well in my opinion but I was 5 minutes late and forgot my resume'. The employer didn't seem to mind she just had me to fill out an application. I thought they already had my resume' because I sent it to them from monster.com. But I did feel a little embarrased when asked. Thats a lot of money to me and my daughter!!! I've prayed that I get this job so can you pray for me too.
